Here we go with another great game from Pyrozen ( formly Webcypher ). Yup we've changed our name since JFO is no longer with the team.
Now let's talk about the game. Sift Renegade features the Yakuza member Kiro, who is on a mission to seek the truth and take revenge! The game features multiple game play, and has an exciting and suspenseful storyline. Fight tons of enemies with your katana, escape from your assailants on a wild bike chase, or combat at close range with your shuriken stars!
Don't it look amazing!!! This game have superbe graphics all made by hands from our graphists and the smooth programation and animation made by Chriss Martin.
Hope you'll like it
Merry Christmas to all of you on NG !!

I think it's kinda cheap. The katana fights are boring, even if there are only a few. You can only use a three-move combo, and the only move that really deals any damage is the last one in the combo. No other fighting moves. The only ennemies are guys with nunchakus or guys with those three-pointed blade thingies. And they are boring to fight. Just wait until they are at the right distance, then start your combo. Do the combo three times for the nunchaku-wielding ones, five times (what the hell is up what that, btw? the only difference between the two types of ennemies are their weaponry) for the thingy-wielding ones. The story isn't very refined and dialogue is scarce, which makes the fighting seem useless.
The bosses are ridiculously easy, while at the same time being idiotic. For the first one, just get out and throw shurikens at him. He won't even have time to kill you. For the second one, the weirdo with the stick, just attack him with a combo. If he manages to break out, block his attacks while slowly moving towards him until you can land another combo. Glitch: it seems that when you block, the boss hits himself. Weird.
The final aspect, the motorcycle parts. The motorcycle is really touchy and accelerates way too fast. The top-down view is also a bad idea, because very often, a car will come too quickly and run you over. Good thing the cars aren't randomized, because then it'd be about impossible to beat those. Just try again until you memorize the whole motorcycle level, then you'll beat it easily.
Graphically, it's ok, yet very unbalanced. How can the characters be unrefined sticks when all the rest is detailed and polished?
Apart from those bad points, the animation was beautiful and the game was pretty fun. Too bad you had to post a demo here to bring more visitors to your site. That kept me from playing the full version. Instead of posting to the portal, post an article about your new game on the front page and host a link to your site. THEN I'll go to your site and play it.
Well, I may have bashed on your game a bit. But no review is complete without suggestions on how to improve the game, so here you go:
-More detailed character design. Try making fullbody stuff with faces and clothes.
-A more advanced fighting system. Try making a few different moves for melee weapons and combos. The best way of doing that is to make two buttons for attacking. Light and heavy attacks. Then all you have to do is make combos out of combinations of those two. It would also be nice to have dodging or something.
-Guns.
-For the motorcycle levels, show warnings when a car is coming your way, or even better yet, set the level from the driver's view.
-As for the boss fights, to make the bosses interesting, try to give them special attacks and particular weaknesses.
-And for the story... please make an actual story.
